Step 2: Our Quotation
Our quotation will show you exactly what we intend to advertise your registration number for, the deductions we will take at the point of sale, and the figure we will return to you following sale and completion of the transfer.

Step 3: Finding a Buyer
We will start marketing the registration number, at our discretion, and try and find you a buyer. (Unfortunately there is no guide to how long this will take, although six months is normally more than enough time to sell a realistically priced registration number).
We currently run regular advertisements in the national press, including The Sun, The Daily Mail, The Daily Express, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph and more. Also, all of the registration numbers on our books appear on our website available to buy 24-hours a day.

Step 4: Transferring the Registration
Once a buyer has been found we will let you know, and will request your documents in writing. We will also request the document for the buyer's vehicle. When all of the documents have been received and checked, we will process the transfer with the Department for Transport (DfT).
Once the transfer is complete, you will receive a replacement vehicle Registration Certificate V5C bearing your replacement registration number. If the registration number was being sold from a DVLA certificate you will not receive any replacement documents.
Once we have received confirmation from DVLA that the transaction is complete, we will send you the agreed payment by cheque.
